Opening Doors PTA provides mini grants to support the work of Belmont-Redwood Shores School District special education teachers, general education teachers, occupational therapists, behavior therapists/aides, speech therapists, and paraeducators.
Funds are intended for professional training or educational materials related to inclusion, PBIS, or special education.
In order to best serve our students' interests and maximize the impact of the mini grant program, we have revised the application process to ensure that grant requests align with district goals and objectives. Please read the instructions on the form carefully.

Opening Doors PTA mini grants are available to community members and nonprofit organizations that serve children with special needs in the Peninsula Bay Area.
Mini grants are intended for parent education, education resources, support groups, therapeutic services, and social events for children and families with special needs. Such activities or events must be made available to Opening Doors PTA members.
-Geek Club Books- Ability awareness school assemblies
-Autism Career Pathways- Autism Goes to Work event at the Redwood City Library
-Fenixia Foundation- Education webinar series
Opening Doors PTA provides scholarships to current members for attending parent education workshops or enrolling their child in special needs camps/classes. Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Scholarship amount varies.
